πŸ˜† = Funny  😍= Romantic  😧= Drama

A teen who doesn't believe in Halloween magic (the nerve!) unwittingly unleashes the 3 most fabulous witches ever, to wreak havoc on the sleepy town of Salem.

This Halloween classic is a great way to put a freaky fun spell on your party guests, or to sing loudly to over a bowl of popcorn with your bffs.

2) The Witches of Eastwick (1987) πŸ˜†πŸ˜

A blonde, a redhead and a brunette walk into Jack Nicholsons' mansion...I feel like a synopsis isn't even necessary with a cast like this.

Three single friends (Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfifer, I mean, really. *swoons dead*) find their inner power awakened when a mysterious and ridiculously charming Jack Nicholson, I mean man, arrives in their idyllic small town, and all manner of shenanigans ensue.

If you want a thoughtful, empowering and hilarious good time, look no further than this smoking classic!

3) The Witch (2016) πŸ˜±

New England, 1630: William and Katherine try to lead a devout Christian life, homesteading on the edge of an impassible wilderness, with five children. When their newborn son mysteriously vanishes and their crops fail, the family begins to turn on one another.

'The Witch' is a chilling portrait of a family unraveling within their own sins, leaving them prey for an inconceivable evil. Creepy goodness to the max! Streaming now on Netflix Free!

4) Death Becomes Her (1992) πŸ˜†πŸ˜

Another star-studded classic with murdery-good hijinks! Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep bring shade to a whole new level in this creepy comedy about two aging, catty women fighting for youth and the same man.

When a mysterious, exotic woman gives them a magical elixir, these babes use it to flex supernatural pettiness in epic, blood-soaked fashion. This is by far one of my all time Halloween (or all the time) faves!

5) The Craft (1996) πŸ˜±πŸ‘»

This movie is legitimately everything. It's the stuff teenaged outcast dreams are made of!

When a new girl falls in with a group of misfits at her Catholic high school, they find that together they have the power to make their every wish come true, and to turn their enemies lives into nightmares. But that kind of clout comes at a high price.

From drool-worthy outfits to killer revenge scenes, this has got to be the coolest and creepiest cautionary tale ever, about the great responsibility that comes with the status of being cult fashion icons... I mean power. This movie in a nutshell?

6) Practical Magic (1998) πŸ˜§πŸ˜±πŸ˜†πŸ˜

This is a feel-good movie for the true modern witches at heart. Two sisters gifted with natural magic and raised by eccentric old aunts (which we love!) who are also witches (which we SUPER love!) come together to battle a psycho ex-boyfriend (#relatable), a close-minded small town of jerks (#SUPERrelatable) and a curse threatening to prevent them from ever finding their true baes, I mean loves. Rude!

This movie is dear to my heart for its depiction of how beautiful a nature-based spirituality can be! And also because danger and potions and that drunken family tequila dance scene!

7) Harry Potter (2001-2011) πŸ˜†πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ

Listen. I'm gonna tell you right now in the spirit of full disclosure that I have at least 2 all out Harry Potter marathons a year, complete with a day of ALL 8 movies, a silver goblet of sparkling cider and my Hogwarts cloak. Because I'm that girl.

A little boy is orphaned to his ratchet aunt and uncle (who we HATE!), finds out he's a wizard and gets sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to follow in the footsteps of his famous witch mother.

With the help of his two best friends, evil is vanquished, treats are devoured in the great hall (which my food-loving face would literally kill to get into), and lessons are learned about courage, honor and the need for great companions. Did I mention the treats?  I swear to you half the reason I watch these movies is to look at their meal spreads. *Drools*

8) The Blair Witch Project (1999) 😱

The very first of the "found footage" horror movies to go mainstream, this terrifying classic is the remnants of a documentary project gone bone-chillingly wrong.

Three filmmaker students take their cameras and tents into the woods of Maryland (just...why though?!) to investigate the local legend of the Blair Witch who is suspected in the brutal deaths of local children (seriously, whyyyy???). The three disappear, but their footage is found years later.

What unfolds on those tapes is truly spine tingling nope-fodder that will ensure your lack of sleep for the next two weeks.

9) The Crucible (1996) 😧

The Crucible is a tale of witch hysteria set in 1692 Salem. When young girls begin what seems like a harmless lie about being possessed to do a witches bidding, a small town is ravaged by accusations pitting families and neighbors against one another.

A young woman obsessed with her married lover takes the opportunity to frame his wife for witchcraft, setting forth a devastating chain of events that would have consequences far beyond her intentions.

This is an incredible think-piece movie sure to yield a night of fascinating and thought-provoking conversations. Just add wine!

10) Beautiful Creatures (2013) πŸ˜§πŸ˜πŸ‘»

Ethan, a young writer longing to escape his small Southern town, meets the mysterious new girl, Lena. As sparks fly, so do rumors about Lena's family and their peculiar history.

Together they use their bond to uncover the dark secrets their respective families have been hiding from them as they race against the clock to save their doomed love.

With great special effects and a storyline that will have you Facebook stalking your first love, this is sure to be a smash at any teen slumber party!

Listen. I'm gonna warn you right now that this movie is not for the faint of heart. Never has a film made me feel so unsafe and freaked out!

When a couple suffers a devastating loss and retreats to a cabin in the wilderness in an attempt to heal their grief, they find that the hostile and forbidding nature surrounding them is nothing compared to what lies within them. With disturbing scenes of sexuality and an atmospheric, arthouse quality that will put a fist of dread in your stomach, this film is NSFChildren (or anyone, really).

Watch it! And don't blame me for having to return to therapy after.

18) The Witches (1990) πŸ˜±πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ

Both adorable and truly terrifying in a way that only 90's kids movies could be, this classic is a must on any Halloween movie list!

When a little boy stumbles upon the dark secret of a coven of witches and is turned into a mouse, he must somehow figure out how to save the world from doom, while navigating a world of nightmare-fodder prosthetics and horrifying cinematic angles.

I mean, how did the early 90's manage to make a close up of french fries so upsetting?
